MKX Tropix
200 Milligram Gummy Review
I usually go with Alien Brainz or Choice’s latest product, but being that MKX's Tropix gummies were on sale I decided to go back where I started. I grabbed a pack of citrus haze fast acting sativa gummies and some Chinese food and got ready. Taste wise this was a pleasant surprise. Sometimes with edibles you get this after taste that is not altogether appealing. I actually detected 0 after taste when trying this so that was a plus from the beginning.
My main benchmarks for edibles are usually: 1. the wait time for it to work 2. maintaining a functional high and 3. how much the recovery time will be after the effects wear off. Edibles give you a quick high leave you feeling groggy afterwards. No bueno. These MKX gummies testing hsd a total THC amount of 212 milligrams, roughly 21 milligrams per piece, with 10 pieces.
I tested the effects of having a whole piece first. I’m a bigger guy, but I have a pretty low tolerance. I began to feel To feel something after around 15 minutes. It wasn’t much of a body high for me personally as it seemed to originate more behind the eyes like when I smoke. Although I picked the sativa brand, I did feel a bit of sleepiness after my first piece.
It took around an hour for me to start feeling the full effects. I didn’t notice any major paranoia and I was able to complete some tasks, but after a while I had to watch my show and get to my food, as I was becoming too useless to do much else. I’d imagine an everyday smoker might get a few hours of a pretty comfortable high from this. I will say the come down, although not as brutal as other edibles definitely had me back in bed after the effects wore off.
A bit of a slow start, but altogether MKX’s citrus haze is rapidly climbing my list of edibles. It gave me a solid, even buzz that lasted quite a good amount of time and didn't bring on any anxiety or overthinking. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for an enjoyable experience at around a $10 price point. Veteran smokers might need to up the dose and that slow start was definitely different than advertised, but MKX is winning me back over.
